Brian Andreyko moves up from Chief Product Officer, while David Ogg, the HotspotFX founder who previously led MEX Exchange as CEO, shifts into the Vice Chairman role.

The reshuffle keeps Ogg involved in the company’s strategic direction while placing day-to-day leadership with Andreyko, who joined MEX Exchange earlier this year as Chief Product Officer.

The company said the appointments support the continued development of its institutional electronic trading platform.

Andreyko Takes Charge of Institutional Platform

Andreyko brings more than 30 years of experience in financial technology and institutional markets.

According to MEX Exchange, his previous roles include Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff at Currenex, Executive Vice President and Head of EBS at ICAP, CEO of MakoFX/Liquidity Pool and Chief Business Officer at TradAir.

He also spent almost six years at Edgewater Markets before joining MEX Exchange as CPO in 2026.

His appointment puts a product and electronic trading executive at the head of the venue as it builds out its ECN, technical services and execution services businesses.

In the announcement, Andreyko said MEX Exchange has an opportunity to bring a “differentiated proposition” to institutional trading, focusing on speed, efficiency and execution experience for emerging market and global participants.

MEX Exchange describes itself as an institutional multi-dealer ECN for foreign exchange and metals, with access through a proprietary interface or FIX API.

The venue targets banks, brokers, hedge funds, asset managers, family offices and other institutional participants.

Ogg Remains in Strategic Role

Ogg moves into the Vice Chairman role after more than three years leading the MEX Exchange project. He is widely known in institutional FX for founding HotspotFX in 1999, described by the company as the first institutional FX electronic communications network.

His career also includes LavaFX, Ogg Trading and senior roles at Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, HSBC and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

Before joining MultiBank Group, Ogg had publicly described himself on LinkedIn as “retiring… sort of”, while leaving the door open to consulting and advisory work in FX and crypto trading.

MultiBank later announced the establishment of a MEX Exchange office in the United States in February 2023, with the platform developed under the direction of Founder and Chairman Naser Taher and CEO David Ogg.

The leadership change comes during a broader period of MultiBank expansion. In 2024, Finance Magnates reported that MEX Digital FZE had secured a licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.

In 2025, the group announced MEX Orient, a venture aimed at entering 14 countries over three years. MEX Exchange said the latest appointments form part of its investment in leadership and institutional capabilities.

The company did not announce changes to its product line or provide new volume targets alongside the management reshuffle.
