LCG Promotes Panayiotis Theodorou to Chief Information Officer

While his LinkedIn doesn’t give away many details, a CIO (otherwise known as chief digital information officer or information technology director) is a role that is often given to the most senior executive in a company who is responsible for the traditional information technology and computer systems used by the enterprise.

Before his role as CIO at the online broker, Theodorou was Head of IT operations, starting the position at the beginning of this year in January. Between Theodorou joining the firm and becoming Head of IT operations, he was a Senior Systems Engineer for the broker between April 2017 until January 2018.

Panayiotis Theodorou’s Career Before LCG

Prior to working at LCG, Theodorou was a Senior Support Engineer at Correct Group Ltd, an information technology and services company. Here he worked for only a short amount of time between June 2016 and July 2016.

His tenure at FxPro Financial Services lasted from September 2010 until May 2016. Initially, he joined the online contracts for difference (CFD) and spread betting broker as the Head of User Help Desk. In this role, he supported the users of the FxPro Network.

After just under two years he was promoted to the Senior Systems Engineer. Theodorou worked in this position from August 2012 until May 2012, based in the capital city of Cyprus. Before working at FxPro, he was a retail sales executive at JHDM Trading Ltd, a specialist in the distribution of consumer electronics.

During his career, Theodorou has also been a Business Co-ordinator at Perpetro Ltd and a Managing Director at PC Sheriffs Ltd. In 2002, he began his career as an Ink Technician at Cartridge World.
