Finance Magnates learned on Tuesday that Diya Patel has left her role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Saxo Capital Markets UK (Saxo). The outgoing CFO has been replaced by Joanne Page, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ETX Capital’s Gibraltarian division.

A spokesperson for Saxo Bank Group told Finance Magnates that Patel had left the company “to pursue new opportunities.” Based in the firm’s London office, Patel joined Saxo back in October of 2016.

She has a plethora experience in the Retail Trading industry, having worked at Alpari UK for just over six years as Head of Finance, Global Head of Finance and CFO. Prior to joining Saxo, Patel also spent a year as Group CFO of retail broker GFX.

Her replacement at Saxo is just as qualified. Page joined from retail broker Capital Index where she had been working as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2014.

Over a Decade of Experience

The new CFO has been working in the retail trading world for close to twenty years.

After completing training as an accountant with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance in the late 90s, she moved to GAIN Capital’s City Index. Working as a Financial Controller, she spent four years at the broker before moving to Marex Financial in 2006.

After a year at the commodity broker, she moved again - this time to ETX Capital. Initially working as a Financial Controller, she was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in 2012.

Two years in to that role, Page was promoted again, this time to CEO of ETX Capital Gibraltar. Working to make the broker’s operations in the British overseas territory full functional, Page helped build ETX Capital Gibraltar’s website, set up payment solutions and worked as both COO and Chief Accountant.
