James Watson Joins Tradition as its Global Head of Sales
- Mr. Watson lands in a new role after more than three decades in the financial services industry.
Following a stint lasting nearly half a decade at ADS Securities, James Watson has shifted focus to Tradition as its Global Head of Sales. In his new role, Mr. Watson will be based out of London, stepping into the position with immediate effect, Finance Magnates has learned.
Mr. Watson is a decorated veteran in the financial services industry, having specialized in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. At the interbroker dealing arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition, he will be tasked with handling the group’s global sales in his new role.
He joins Tradition from ADS Securities in London where he worked as its European Managing Director for over four years, dating back to 2014. He also served as the authorized CEO for the ADS Securities business in Europe, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.

In tandem with his new role Mr. Watson will also continue to work as a non-executive director at ADS Securities as well as a commercial advisor to the board of PayDashboard.
Prior to working at ADS Securities, Mr. Watson held multiple senior level roles. He worked at Thomson Reuters/FXall as its Head of EMEA Transactions, and additional stops include as Executive Director (SVP) Head of Sales - Equity Electronic Trading at JPMorgan, Head of Electronic and Execution Execution Execution is the process during which a client submits an order to the brokerage, which consequently executes it resulting in an open position in a given asset.
