Penny Kong has over ten years of experience in the financial industry, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile. After graduating from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in economics, he worked as a financial consultant at Standard Charted, a position that he stayed in for more than two years. Since then, he has worked in various positions at many finance companies, such as Citi, CITIC Bank International and ANZ.
Kong's most recent role was at Gain Capital, where he spent more than five years. He began his tenure at the firm as a member of the sales team, but the years saw him eventually work his way up to becoming Head of Retail Sales, Greater China.
Under CEO Robert Berkely, INFINOX gained FCA authorisation in 2009 and since then it has "...built and enviable reputation as a key player in FX industry," according to the company website. The company's FCA registration number is 06854853.
Originally called GO Markets UK, the firm rebranded to INFINOX in 2014. At the time, Berkeley said: "This new brand will allow us to differentiate our personal, high technology approach to doing business in the marketplace."
