Mr. Garnier steps into the newly created roll of CRO with immediate effect, having worked for nearly three decades in the financial services and technology industry – he will be based out of GreenKey’s London office, overseeing the group’s global sales, service, marketing and strategic partnership initiatives.
He joins GreenKey from Thomson Reuters, having worked at the venue for over twelve years in several senior level roles. This included positions as its Senior Company Officer as well as a Managing Director for Northern Europe and Asset Management Across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
According to GreenKey’s CEO Paul Christensen in a recent statement on the appointment: “Richard is a world-class performer with an exceptional track record. He has that rare breadth of international experience drawn equally from senior roles at large organizations and from early-stage, entrepreneurial growth ventures.”
“Our client base includes the world's leading financial institutions, and Richard has navigated them all in his career. His energy and ability will help us scale the business and truly change the way the markets communicate."
"There's an incredible opportunity for GreenKey to be a positive force of disruption in the financial markets, and I'm delighted to play a role in that fintech revolution,” reiterated Mr. Garnier in an accompanying statement.
The appointment of Mr. Garnier is the first at GreenKey since the addition of Mr. Christensen back in March. Since then, he has helped manage the expansion of GreenKey’s global operations in the US (Chicago, New York), and Singapore. Following the appointment, Green Key’s co-founder and inaugural CEO, Anthony Tassone, has also shifted gears as the group’s Chief Product Officer, where he has been tasked with product innovation and development.
