FX broker Libertex Group has appointed Forex marketing veteran Marios Chailis as its newest Chief Marketing Officer. He has already stepped into his new role earlier this month.

Marios joins Libertex with nearly two decades of experience in the financial services space, having most recently worked as the VP of marketing at forex, CFDs, and crypto brokerage 24option. During his two-year tenure with the CySEC -regulated brand, he had taken a senior B2C marketing role responsible for brand positioning and improving its digital acquisition work and CRM strategy.

Prior to 24option, Marios spent nearly 11 years with Henyep Capital Markets (HYCM), where he held several roles, including as Chief Marketing Officer, and was then promoted to its Executive Director. There he was tasked with commercial marketing and brand strategy across its group of brands, focusing on the Middle East and China via its FCA-regulated subsidiary.

Chailis has been based in Dubai for the bulk of his long tenure at Henyep Capital Markets, which dates back to December 2006.

Other stops included working as a Senior Marketing Manager at easyMarkets (formerly Easy Forex) back in 2004, which was actually his first foray into the foreign exchange space.

Chailis will be tasked with steering Libertex’s global marketing functions, which includes many responsibilities ranging from the execution of the company’s brand strategy to its product marketing efforts, corporate communications, and digital marketing agenda.

Back in August, Libertex signed a sponsorship agreement with Valencia CF, becoming the new Premiums Plus Partner of the Spanish football club until June 30, 2021. Under the agreement, Libertex and Valencia CF hold promotions, exclusive offers, meetings with the players, and more.
