Foreign exchange (FX) ECN FastMatch has appointed Andrew Gibson as its newest Director of Sales, whose appointment is tendered with immediate effect, according to a FastMatch statement.
In his new role as the Director of Sales at FastMatch, Mr. Gibson will be based out of London, where he will report to Paul Ainsworth, FastMatch’s Global Head of Sales.
Mr. Gibson has already had an eventful year, already shifting roles a couple of times in 2015. Back in January of this year, TradAir selected Andrew Gibson as its Global Sales Director. However, after a period of ten months, Mr. Gibson parted ways with the group in late October.

Prior to this, he served as a Sales Manager of FX Products at ABN Amro Clearing bank for over seven years, having helped build its FX Clearing offering.
Earlier this month, FastMatch brought in UBS veteran Paul Ainsworth to serve in the newly created role of Global Head of Sales, the same individual who will oversee Mr. Gibson in his new role.
The hire was part of a renewed strategy to help grow FastMatch’s sales team, with Mr. Ainsworth managing the newly formed team. FastMatch recently portended a three-fold increase of its sales team, which currently stands at just four personnel. The hires will help expand FastMatch’s client reach, which currently encompasses a broad spectrum of the industry.
