Ms. May originally joined FXStreet back in 2007 as a marketing assistant. During her tenure, she handled a wide range of tasks, whilst being based out of Argentina. She was eventually promoted to manager, and then Chief Marketing Officer, as well as being appointed to the group’s board of directors in 2010. This ultimately paved the way for her ascension to CEO of the group in 2012.

In this capacity she helped oversee the strategic planning of FXStreet – she will part ways with the company on June 30, 2017, helping facilitate a smooth transition. The person tasked to replace her is another FXStreet veteran, Setxi Fernandez. Mr. Fernandez is one of the founding fathers of the company, having originally been one of the core partners of FXStreet, along with Francesc Riverola and Miriam Pinatell in 2000.
He has successfully worked as the group’s COO, working closely with Ms. May over the past years. The succession plan was approved by FXStreet’s board of directors, which came to a mutual agreement with Ms. May – both parties felt that the decision had to be taken to improve the efficiency in the daily management of the company.
According to Ms. May in a recent statement on the changes: “Since the launch of the new website in May 2016, there has been an increased need of a faster decision making and closer control over processes and tasks and this has become very difficult to do from the distance.”
