Tony James

James is a wall street veteran with extensive experience in the finance industry. He is the current Executive Vice Chairman of Blackstone. James is also a member of the board of directors and Blackstone’s Management Committee. He joined the company in 2002, and before his current position, James was the firm’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

Previously, James was Chairman of Global Investment Banking and Private Equity at Credit Suisse First Boston. He was also a member of the Executive Board. Jefferson River Capital, James’ family office, has invested in Digital Asset. AG Gangadhar

Revered engineer and team builder, Gangadhar, brings his extensive knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructures to the company. His experience includes positions at Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Uber.

During his time at Google, Gangadhar built the first cloud infrastructure services, including Google Compute Engine, Google AppEngine, Google Cloud SQL, and Google Container Engine. He was also responsible for Google’s cluster management infrastructure and managed the infrastructure that powers Google’s productivity apps.

Commenting on his appointment, Gangadhar, who is currently CEO at a stealth robotics company said: “the engineering challenges that Digital Asset has already conquered impress me. I’m excited to be part of a team that is defining a category for an entirely new class of distributed applications.”

Stephan Leithner

Leithner also brings a high-level of experience to the company as he is a seasoned financial services executive. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG. In this role, he is responsible for the post-trade business, Clearstream, and data and index businesses for the exchange.

Leithner also added: “I am delighted to lend my expertise to help guide a company that is clearly on the forefront of a new technology revolution – a revolution which is certain to transform the financial services industry and other markets.”

Digital Asset provides its global clients with a DLT platform and a fit-for-purpose smart contract modeling language, DAML. The company was founded in 2014 and has more than 170 employees.
