BTIG announced that it has onboarded Steve Marchini as Managing Director of its Electronic Trading Division.

In an article shared with Finance Magnates, Steve Marchini, an executive veteran with experience in Investment Management, Electronic Trading and Sales and Execution Management Service, has been selected by BTIG, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services, to be its new Managing Director of its Electronic Division.

Marchini brings extensive institutional trading experience, roughly thirty-five years, to the role. He will zero in on making effective use of BTIG proprietary trading technology to enable its clientele to monitor performance, control expenditure and make informed trading decisions.

Looking Back at Marchini’s Vocational Background

Prior to BTIG’s announcement, Macquarie Group recruited Marchini as a Trading Consultant in New York where he stayed for just over a year according to his LinkedIn profile.

In the previous year of 2020, he spent most of his time as Head Of Business Development at BestEx Research.

Earlier on in the middle of 2012, he became the AlphaPro/Analytics Director ( Portware LLC. acquired by FactSet 10/16) and executed his duties for the next eight years.

Before that, Aritas Securities LLC secured him as its Managing Director. Over the course of three years, he was in charge of sales and trading.

At JPMorgan Chase, he took on a previous role as Managing Director. During his time, he supervised its U.S. Trading group responsible for both Sector and Program/Electronic Trading among other duties.

His earliest known position was as an Analyst for MorganStanley where he completed his tasks over four years.

Reflecting on the addition to the team, Anthony Brown, Co-Head of Electronic Trading at BTIG mentioned: “We are pleased to welcome Steve to BTIG. He brings considerable algorithmic trading knowledge across trading systems, execution expertise and a strong track record for successful relationship management that will help us generate thoughtful and creative solutions for our clients.”
