BTIG Adds Three New Appointments to Its Structured Products Trading Team

BTIG announced that it has added three new appointments to its structured products trading team.

Recently announced in a press release, BTIG, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services, has expanded its structured products trading team with the addition of Christopher Heaney and Jamarr Delauney as Managing Directors, and David Cantor as a Director. They will enhance the firm’s Structured Product business within the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities division.

In the new positions, all three new hires will report to Alejandro Feely, the Managing Director and Head of Structured Products.

A Quick Review of Three Vocations

Heaney has deep industry experience. Before BTIG, he held the position of Managing Director on Fixed Income at Keybanc Capital Markets. Additionally, he served Amherst Securities as a Managing Director within Fixed Income and also at Jefferies. Moreover, he was a Senior Managing Director within Fixed Income at Bear and Stearns & Company.

Delauney brings more than two decades of experience. Earlier to the announcement, he fulfilled the position of Managing Director within Loan and Structured Products Trading at Cross Point Capital. Moreover, Helios Strategic Advisors utilised him as its Senior Managing Director within Securitized Products. At UBS, he worked as an Executive Director within Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Trading. Before that, he served Credit Suisse as Vice President of Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Trading.

Also, Cantor brings more than twenty years of financial experience to BTIG. Earlier on, he held the post of Director of Fixed Income Capital Markets within Institutional Sales and Trading at Janney Montgomery Scott. A further role he took on was Director of Sales within the Institutional Group at Performance Trust. Cantor spent the bulk of his career, a total of fourteen years at Credit Suisse. He was the Director of Securitized Products Sales.

BTIG’s Structured Product Sales, Trading and Strategy team are concentrating on secondary trading as well as enabling new issue for a wide range of products and client segments. This consists of banks, hedge funds, institutional money managers, insurance providers and more.
