Abu Dhabi-based brokerage ADSS has announced this Thursday that it has appointed Khaldoun Sharaiha as Global Head of Sales, where he will help lead the firm’s continued expansion in the Europe, Asia, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

As the Global Head of Sales at the broker, Sharaiha is in charge of client engagement. According to the company, he will focus on institutional clients and high-net-worth professional investors.

This forms part of the recently-launched five-year transformation strategy of ADSS, which has been put in place to drive growth in its key markets and will see the company invest resources into developing technology and expertise.

ADSS is building on its position in MENA

Commenting on the appointment, Mahmood Ebraheem Al Mahmood, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ADSS said in the statement: “ADSS will be investing to attract and retain the best talent in the industry in the coming years, as we set the benchmark for online brokerages in terms of client experience, breadth of offering, and effective use of technology."

“Khaldoun is joining ADSS at a promising time for our business, as ADSS builds on its leading position in the MENA region and expands its professional client base in Europe and fast-growing Asian markets. His deep knowledge of our industry and the markets we work in, as well as his track record leading teams through periods of growth and development, makes him the ideal person to support our ambitions.”

With the appointment, Sharaiha has replaced Jason Hughes, who will continue to work with ADSS, supporting the business development aspects of its transformation strategy, the company said.

Sharaiha has more than ten years' worth of experience in the international trading and investment industry. He joins the UAE broker from Equiti. As Finance Magnates reported, Sharaiha joined the Multi-Asset brokerage back in 2017 and, for the last two years, was the CEO of the firm’s operation in Jordan.

“ADSS is one of the largest brokerages in the Middle East, with a solid technology-led business and a fast-expanding global network,” added Khaldoun. “We have a great opportunity to expand our client base in new markets and to make a mark as a business that is trusted by clients and partners. I look forward to contributing to ADSS’s development by exploring new market opportunities and enhancing our high-touch customer service levels.”
