X-Trade Brokers (XTB) Limited has secured the services of Joshua Raymond as its newest director, following a lengthy stint at City Index, according to a recent regulatory filing.
In his new role at XTB, Mr. Raymond will be based in the UK, a locale he’s well familiar with after a decade-long career at City Index. His appointment has been tendered with immediate effect. Prior to landing at XTB, Mr. Raymond had been a mainstay at City Index in a number of senior level roles. During this time he was mainly responsible for the group’s marketing strategy, digital capabilities, content, social media, education, PR, and communications.

His tenure with the company included positions as its Managing Director, Market Strategist, Head of UK Retail Sales, and Senior Account Manager, to name just a few. His career there dated back to 2006 – additionally, he worked at IFX Markets (Finspreads) as a sales trader.
Earlier this year, XTB made headlines following its consideration of a listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange with an offering worth up to $224 million (€200 million). XTB was founded in Poland back in 2002 and is the parent group of XTB Limited, the British arm of its business that specializes in FX.
