The Copenhagen-based multi-asset online broker, Saxo Bank, announced today that Steen Blaafalk will officially join the firm on the 22nd of April, 2014. He will also be listed as a member of the Board Management, alongside Kim Fournais and Lars Seier Christensen.
Mr. Blaafalk brings to Saxo Bank his significant senior financial sector experience, most recently acting as Head of Group Treasury and a member of the executive committee at Danske Bank. In his thirty years long career in Danske Bank, he also served as Head of Danske Markets with a track record of creating profitable results. Additionally, Mr. Blaafalk has a background in trading and trading platforms as well as in national and EU regulation.

As Saxo Bank’s new Global Head of Finance and Risk Operations, Steen Blaafalk will be responsible for all legal and compliance, finance, risk management and business intelligence within the bank.
