OneMarketData, LLC has appointed Dermot Harriss as its newest Head of Development of its OneTick Market Surveillance Service, according to a OneMarketData statement.

OneTick is a comprehensive solution for event stream processing and tick data management. The function is used by a variety of trading venues and service providers in the financial industry.

Mr. Harriss joins OneMarketData from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, part of a lengthy career spanning over two decades. This includes senior level roles across the lenders’ technology and derivatives Risk Management , statistical arbitrage, futures trading, and wholesale execution services.

In particular, Mr. Harriss managed to pioneer, develop, and streamline myriad trade index futures market-making strategies, having led a team at Goldman Sachs in what was its first retail execution platform – he has also garnered additional experience across both regulatory compliance and execution quality.

According to Leonid Frants, Founder and Principal of OneMarketData, in a recent statement on the appointment, "We are excited that Mr. Harriss is joining the OneMarketData team. His decades of experience across a variety of critical roles in major firms make him an ideal candidate to head this critical project.”

“As regulatory oversight continues to grow, market participants demand sophisticated technologies for real-time alerting that leverage high-performance data management and Analytics . Thus, the OneTick Market Surveillance Service is primed to be a key OMD offering going forward, and it is excellent to see it in such capable hands,” he added.

Back in August, OneMarketData made headlines after its OneTickCloud service was integrated into KOR Group, LLC, a SaaS (Software as a Service) analytics and trading compliance firm.
