Richard Elston has joined EWMP Management Consulting as a strategy consultant, according to a statement he shared on LinkedIn. EWMP is part of Edgewater Markets Group, which provides institutional liquidity and execution services, with a focus on metals and foreign exchange.

Elston previously spent more than a decade at CMC Markets. Most recently, he served as Head of CMC Markets Connect Middle East in Dubai. Prior to that, he was Group Head of Institutional in London for over nine years.
Elston Leads Edgewater Dubai Expansion
The Dubai platform is expected to expand across commercial, operational, and technology functions as it progresses through regulatory approval. The local entity is undergoing authorisation with the UAE’s Capital Markets Authority and is planned to become a fully integrated part of the group.

Earlier in his career, Elston held senior roles at IG Group and Saxo Bank. At IG, he was Head of Institutional Sales in London.
Before that, he spent more than six years at Saxo Capital Markets UK as Head of Institutional Sales. He joined Saxo Bank in 2006 as a senior sales manager covering Latin America and North America.
Edgewater Adds Maloney as Director
In a separate development within the group’s UK structure, Matthew Maloney is listed as a director and CEO of Edgewater Markets Group’s UK entity, reflecting his senior involvement in the group’s UK operations.
He previously spent ten years at Finalto Group, where he held management roles through a period of expansion from the CFH Clearing era into a global institutional business. Finalto said his tenure included navigating multiple market cycles and contributing to the firm’s long-term development before his departure in 2025.
