Coindesk reports that Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, chief compliance officer for PayPal’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division, will be joining Bitstamp in a similar capacity.

He will lead Bitsamp’s compliance program, which will include his engaging and corresponding with regulators to “preserve the interests of the bitcoin ecosystem.” He added that his role will also “consist of enabling the Bitstamp business expansion, where Bitstamp will maximize compliance with regulatory requirements and user experience.”
