Freewallet, known for its Monero and other altcoin mobile wallets, has localized its apps into the Portuguese, Spanish, French, Russian, Korean and Chinese languages.

To unlock the Asian market, register now to the iFX EXPO in Hong Kong.

Data from Freewallet shows that only 25% of its app users are from English-speaking countries and another 25% are located in the Asia-Pacific region.

Alvin Hagg, co-founder of Freewallet, says: “There is a wonderful book by Victor Papanek 'Design for the Real World'. Must read for design thinking people. Victor is well known for his Tin Can Radio that was made of metal food cans and powered by candle. Actually it was designed to be produced cheaply in developing countries. Imagine an impact of this invention on Godforsaken villages.

Just like that radio, Blockchain can activate the peripheral economies. I want to see Freewallet as a kind of the Tin Can Radio. Simple, but well-designed tool for virtually anyone in the world. Localization is the way to achieve this goal.”

Last Month we reported that Freewallet started offering the option of buying cryptocurrency with credit cards. This was achieved thanks to an integration agreement with London-based exchange platform Indacoin. As the feature has been added to all its Android apps, Freewallet users now can buy any supported Cryptocurrencies , including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash and more with credit and debit cards.
