Binance has reported that its bStocks product crossed $1 billion in assets faster than any competing tokenised equity offering.
Underpinned by $6 billion in two-way conversions with underlying shares, the product reflects growing appetite to deploy conventional equity holdings across blockchain ecosystem.
Since the June 11 launch, bStocks have generated more than $40 billion in cumulative trading volume, according to Binance’s announcement. The range has grown from five securities to almost 100 stocks and ETFs.
bStocks AUM: $1,000,000,000+ ✔️ With 1:1 convertibility and zero conversion fees, users have converted over $6B between bStocks and underlying stocks. The momentum goes beyond holding. Users are converting, trading, and building with tokenized stocks. https://t.co/Nmzou8tKzq

How Shares Move On-Chain
Binance began offering eligible clients direct access to more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs in early June. The service is provided by ADGM-regulated broker-dealer Nest Trading Limited, with clients holding a beneficial interest in the shares they buy.
bStocks add a second format for selected securities. A client can convert a conventional stock position into a corresponding token at a 1:1 ratio without a conversion fee, then convert it back into a direct stock position.
Each bStock is issued by Binance affiliate BTech Holdings and backed by the relevant security held with a custodian. Under the product’s terms, the token is a certificate representing an interest in that security, not direct ownership of the share.

What Clients Do with the Token
Once converted, bStocks can trade around the clock and be withdrawn to a compatible BNB Smart Chain wallet. Clients can move equity-linked exposure into self-custody or use supported tokens in decentralised finance without first selling the position for cash or cryptocurrency.
The platform added another use in September, when it extended collateral support for selected bStocks to eligible users of its Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin accounts. Clients can keep equity-linked exposure while using those tokens to support other trading positions, rather than selling them to free up collateral.
Binance’s usage figures indicate that trading outside conventional market hours is part of the appeal. Only 38% of bStocks volume in July occurred during regular US equity trading hours.
Binance Research found that 41.5% of early bStocks users had not traded its related direct-equity or perpetual products. However, the figure describes their activity on Binance and does not establish whether they had invested in shares elsewhere.
How the Milestone Compares
Binance calls bStocks the fastest tokenised equity product to reach $1 billion in assets, citing Dune data as of October 15. The claim concerns the time taken to reach that threshold, not leadership by assets held today.
On October 14, Ondo Finance said its tokenised stocks and ETFs accounted for more than $1.3 billion in total value locked. Ondo reports that measure as TVL, while Binance calls its figure AUM, so the amounts are not a precise like-for-like ranking.
A new milestone for Ondo: $4 billion in TVL. From tokenized Treasuries to tokenized stocks, ETFs, portfolios & private markets, Ondo is expanding access with every asset class. Behind the $4 billion TVL milestone: → $1.3B+ in tokenized stocks & ETFs → #1 platform for tokenized U.S. Treasuries → 1M+ cumulative holders across products That growth reflects innovations in how tokenized assets trade, including Ondo Stocks tapping TradFi exchange liquidity through RFQ. Leading wallets and apps put that liquidity within reach, enabling permissionless transfers across Solana, Ethereum and BNB Chain. This milestone is an early sign of the scale ahead as tokenization transforms how the world accesses financial markets. Think in trillions.

Ondo’s broader $4 billion TVL includes other products and should not be compared with bStocks alone. Rapid growth also does not make token trading equivalent to trading the underlying shares.
The IMF’s October report found that tokenised equity markets offer access outside conventional hours but remain less liquid and more volatile than traditional counterparts. That distinction matters most when clients trade bStocks while the shares backing them are not trading on the US market.
