24option, one of the biggest brands in the binary options business, has taken another leap in expanding its client base – it is now well set to attract fans of martial arts through the recent sponsorship deal it has inked with the popular Irish martial artist Conor McGregor.
The move is in line with 24option’s past efforts to increase brand awareness, and aims to continue its search for new opportunities to further enhance its presence in the online trading industry. 24option already has several partnerships across Europe with leading teams such as FC Juventus, as well as German tennis legend Boris Becker.
The full financial details of the deal were not disclosed but 24option has revealed to Finance Magnates reporters that the agreement is for 6 months but could be extended for extra seasons. Under the deal terms, Conor McGregor will become 24option’s official partner. This would allow the brand to take advantage of advertising opportunities across McGregor’s channels of communication.

Mutually Beneficial Relationship
Since this practice has been established as a trend, sports sponsorships, especially of popular sports celebrities, are still a preferred marketing strategy by brokers operating in the online retail forex and binary options business.
Regarding how effective such sponsorships are, it may be difficult sometimes to track related metrics in order to measure the results and overall campaign success. Nonetheless, there are almost always intangible benefits, that cannot necessarily be measured but nonetheless affect the bottom-line.
In addition, such sponsorships are often a mutually beneficial partnership. The sponsored star gains financial benefits, which could prove to be an alternative income source, especially with increasing numbers of big sponsors reducing the scope of their activities. At the same time, brokers benefit from raising brand awareness and exposure while conveying a message of strength to existing and prospective customers.
