Dr. Bhaskar Dasgupta is Principal of Sun Foundation, an ADGM family office, and an independent chairman, director, advisor and investor across banking, markets, digital assets, asset management, healthcare and technology. He serves on or advises boards including Apex Group, Peregrine, Aarna Capital, Bunat Ventures, Point72 (DIFC), Caravella, Truleum, Liminal Digital Custody and Safar Art. He is Chairman of the Middle East Stablecoin Association and Secretary of the Middle East Investment Management Association. Previously, he led market development at ADGM and the FSRA, helping expand AUM, crypto, broker-dealers, venture capital and ICE Futures Abu Dhabi. Earlier roles: COO of UK Export Finance and senior positions at HSBC, ABN AMRO, Citigroup and PwC. He holds degrees in mathematics and finance, and doctorates spanning financial modelling and AI, terrorism and politics, and the history of spices. He is now pursuing doctoral research in subtractive sacred architecture.
