Multi-Asset broker FXTM has taken another leap in expanding its client base, today inking yet another sponsorship. This time it signed the Rookie IndyCar driver Edward Jones. The deal comes just a few months after the brand was selected as the official sponsor of Force India, a Formula One racing team based in Silverstone, United Kingdom, that recently signed a contract for the 2017 racing season.

Dubai-born Ed Jones is a British racing driver who most recently won the 2016 Indy Lights championship, driving for Carlin Motorsport, in his second season in the series. The young driver, who has competed under both British and Emirati licences, qualified for the Indy 500 with an impressive average of 230.578 mph. Before switching to America, Jones was a European Formula 3 podium finisher and won the 2013 title in what was then the European F3 Open.

The move is in line with FXTM’s past efforts to increase brand awareness, and the company aims to continue its search for new opportunities to further enhance its presence in the Online Trading industry. FXTM already has partnerships with leading teams and players across several sports.

Commenting on the deal, Martin Lamming, FXTM’s Global Head of Marketing, said: “Success requires dedication, innovation and a commitment to learning. Most motorsports fans would recognise all three attributes as key to the prosperity of their teams, but few traders would associate those characteristics with their FX brokers. Ed is a phenomenal young driver. He has displayed a dedication to his sport that has seen him successfully climb the ranks of lower series to earn a place on the grid of the iconic Indy 500.”

Martin added: “It’s set to be a landmark weekend for FXTM too, as the broker will take a prominent role in both the Indy 500 and Monaco F1™ Grand Prix, two of the biggest events in the motorsports calendar. Like Alonso, it has crossed the gap between the two formulas – F1 and IndyCar.”
