Sucden Financial is filling in its ranks after some departures from the company in recent months. The firm is officially announcing that the latest key hire is Kirsty Gillies.

Coming with a raft of experience on the banking side of the foreign Exchange , Gillies brings 12 years of experience at two major investment banks.

Kirsty started her career in electronic foreign exchange at Barclays in 2006. After a four year stint, she left for UBS where she most recently headed eFX for UK, Ireland, and Northern and Southern Europe.

Gillies commented; “I am delighted to join the team at Sucden Financial, a well-established and highly regarded participant within the FX industry.

Seasoned Industry Executive

While at UBS, held the position of Executive Director. She was responsible for running the bank’s eFX sales team in London. With a wealth of experience in electronic distribution for FX, rates, and credit across a broad range of clients, Kirsty fits into Sucden’s client base strongly.

Sucden Financial’s eFX sales desk is strong on the institutional side of the business.

Gillies will be reporting to Co-Heads of eFX Peter Brooks and Wayne Roworth at Sucden Financial in London. She will be responsible for elevating the company’s eFX sales strategy in order to generate new business and solidify Sucden Financial’s presence across worldwide markets.

Commenting on the latest hire for Sucden, the Co-Head of eFX, Peter Brooks, commented: “We welcome Kirsty to this new role within the team. With over a decade of experience, she has a deep understanding of the extremely competitive FX landscape and market trends.”

“She is well-regarded in the industry and alongside the team in London and Hong Kong will use her broad experience to further expand the business,” Brooks added.
