Markets may pause for Good Friday and Easter Monday—but traders never really clock out.
What happens when trading meets chocolate eggs, carrot cake, and strategy sessions?
Never a dull moment when there's a chart to check (ChatGPT).
A little piece about markets, traders, Easter, margins, and chocolatey chicks. Even during the holidays, crypto ticks on, but sometimes it’s okay to
hedge your bets with ham and hugs.
'Twas Good Friday morning, the markets were still,
No Nasdaq was moving, no late-breaking thrill.
The tickers were silent, the candles unlit,
Just Bloomberg asleep in a chocolatey pit.

The bulls took a breather, the bears hit the sack,
No swing trades, no spreads, no Fibonacci stack.
Even Jerome Powell had put down his pen,
And went off to brunch with his rate-setting men.
The traders awoke to a world strangely slow,
No squawk box, no futures, no news-driven FOMO.
Just baskets of eggs and some jellybean graphs,
And toddlers high-fiving with chocolate-smeared laughs.
One trader, named Mike, in his robe and his socks,
Tried charting the arc of a Cadbury box.
“Resistance is here,” he declared with a grin,
Pointing where bunnies had bitten the tin.
“Momentum is building!” cried Elaine,
As she backtested marshmallows in vain.
She hedged with a chocolate bunny long-call,
Then promptly got margin-called by her mom’s Easter haul.
The forex crowd gathered around carrot cake,
To whisper of yen trades and egg-colored fakes.
“EUR/USD’s hopping,” said Jim with a smirk,
“But I’m holding till Monday (or Tuesday). I’m off-duty, jerk.”
Gold traders stared at the sky with delight,
Said, “The sun’s our new candlestick pattern tonight.”
Oil traders barbecued lambs on a spit,
Watching the crude chart while roasting a bit.
Even the crypto bros squinted and grinned,
Still glued to their charts as the Easter breeze thinned.
“Markets don’t sleep,” one mumbled, still trading,
“But I’ll pause for some food and a bunny parading.”
While kids hunted eggs and uncles got tipsy,
The traders relaxed—somewhat… but still twitchy.
They snuck glances down at their phones in their laps,
Checking gold's weekend trend via satellite maps.
But Easter's about something deeper, you see—
Not just profit and loss or a late spree.
It’s time for reflection, a well-earned break,
To think through your trades and the risks you won’t take.
To hold those you love, not just Apple and Tesla,
To rebalance your heart, not just your portfolio delta.
For once, let the spreads lie as flat as the ham,
And let your hot takes cool like a cinnamon yam.
So here’s to the traders, the bullish, the stressed,
Who chart through the chaos and always invest.
May your Easter be peaceful, your holdings stay strong,
And your gap ups not prove you all wrong.
Now pass me that bunny with options to chew—
Strike price: delicious. Expiry: soon.
