Behind every successful brokerage or fintech company is a leader responsible for its direction, results, people and long-term growth.
The Finance Magnates CEO of the Year Awards places these leaders at the centre of the industry conversation. It recognises CEOs who have achieved clear business results, supported their teams and made a positive contribution to financial services.
As part of the Finance Magnates Awards 2026, two leaders will receive this recognition:
Finance Magnates Brokerage/Prop Firm CEO of the Year 2026
Finance Magnates Fintech CEO of the Year 2026
Only one CEO will win in each category. For the two winners, the value goes far beyond receiving a trophy. It connects their leadership with the history, reach and trusted industry voice of Finance Magnates.

Why Winning the Finance Magnates CEO of the Year Award is Important
A company award recognises a business's success. A CEO award recognises the person whose choices, leadership and direction helped produce those results.
For the winning CEOs, this creates both personal and company value.
➡️It Connects the CEO With a Trusted Industry Name
Recognition from a well-known financial media company can shape how a CEO is perceived by clients, partners, employees, and other professionals.
The Finance Magnates name gives the award a level of trust based on years of financial reporting, industry analysis and sector events. The award is not simply a company claim. It is recognition linked to an established voice within online trading and fintech.
➡️It Supports the CEO’s Position as a Thought Leader
CEOs are often expected to speak on market trends, regulation, technology, company growth and the future of financial services.
Winning the award gives the CEO a stronger base from which to share these views. Each winner will also receive an executive interview with Finance Magnates, allowing them to discuss:
Their leadership approach
Their company’s plans
Changes affecting the sector
Lessons from recent business growth
Their view of the industry’s future
This gives the winning CEO a chance to contribute useful ideas to the wider Finance Magnates audience.
➡️It Connects Recognition With Real Results
The Finance Magnates CEO of the Year Award is not based only on how well known an executive is.
Each CEO will be assessed based on their work and results during the previous 12 to 18 months. The review will consider:
Business performance and measurable results
Leadership and team impact
Product or service development
Contribution to the company and financial sector
This allows the award to connect the CEO’s public profile with clear evidence of business impact.
➡️It Builds Trust in the Company’s Leadership
Clients and partners want to work with businesses that have stable management, a clear direction and leaders who can make sound decisions.
Recognition for a CEO can strengthen the way the whole company is viewed. It gives marketing, communications and sales teams a strong proof point when presenting the company’s management, progress and position in the market.
➡️It Recognises the Work Behind Business Growth
Strong leadership is not limited to revenue or company size. CEOs also build teams, shape company culture, manage change and set standards across the business.
A strong CEO entry may include examples such as:
Entering new markets
Launching new products or services
Improving the client or partner experience
Building and supporting strong teams
Responding to regulatory or market changes
Improving internal processes
Supporting better industry practices
The award recognises both what the CEO achieved and how they led the company towards those results.
➡️It Supports Staff Confidence and Recruitment
Recognition for the CEO can also have an impact inside the company.
Employees want to work for leaders who communicate in a clear direction, support their teams and make responsible decisions. An industry award can strengthen staff confidence and give the whole company a result to celebrate.
It can also help the business attract candidates who want to work with respected leaders and established companies.
➡️It Creates Strong Marketing and PR Content
Winning gives the company a clear story to share across its website, media materials, social channels, presentations and client communications.
Each winning CEO will receive:
The official Finance Magnates Awards CEO of the Year 2026 title
A Finance Magnates Awards trophy
Recognition during the awards ceremony
A dedicated winner announcement
Social media coverage
An executive interview with Finance Magnates
These benefits extend the value of the award beyond the ceremony and help the company continue sharing the result with its key audiences.
How Will the CEO Winners Be Selected?
The final result for each category will be based on:
70% Finance Magnates Awards expert panel assessment
30% industry and community voting
The expert panel will review the information and supporting evidence provided with each submission. Public voting will allow industry professionals to support the leaders they believe have made a clear impact.
This process gives greater weight to professional assessment while still including the voice of the financial community.
Submitting a CEO does not guarantee a place among the finalists or winners.
Who Can Take Part?
Participation is available only to CEOs submitted by companies that have secured an official Finance Magnates Awards 2026 nomination through a Brokerage or Fintech exposure package.
Brokerage/Prop Firm Nominees
Brokerage/Prop Firm exposure packages are for companies serving traders, investors or consumers. Eligible companies may submit their CEO for the B2C CEO of the Year category.
Fintech Nominees
Fintech exposure packages are for companies supplying products or services to other financial businesses. Eligible companies may submit their CEO for the B2B CEO of the Year category.
The CEO must:
Be submitted by the officially nominated company they represent
Be the company’s current CEO
Have held the position for at least six months
Represent an active financial services or fintech company
Individual CEOs cannot apply directly.
The CEO awards are not sold separately. Securing an official nomination gives an eligible company the right to submit its CEO, but it does not affect the assessment or guarantee a place among the finalists or winners.
How to Prepare a Strong CEO Submission
A strong entry should use facts, results and clear examples rather than general claims.
➡️Show Measurable Business Results
Include figures that show growth, improved performance, client growth, market entry or other results achieved under the CEO’s leadership.
➡️Explain the Impact on the Team
Show how the CEO supported employees, developed senior teams, improved company culture or introduced better ways of working.
➡️Include Product or Service Progress
Provide examples of important launches, technology updates or service improvements led during the assessment period.
➡️Show a Wider Industry Contribution
Explain how the CEO has supported good practice, shared useful knowledge or contributed to positive progress within the financial sector.
All information should relate to the CEO’s work during the previous 12 to 18 months.
Recognition Built on the Finance Magnates Legacy

It connects the CEO with the long-standing history of Finance Magnates, supports their position as an industry voice and gives the business a trusted leadership story to share with clients, partners and employees.
With only one B2B CEO and one B2C CEO receiving the title, the award offers focused recognition for two of the sector’s strongest leaders.
