  • FM Intelligence’s FMIQ answers plain-English questions from the traffic, volume and licensing data behind its portal.
  • Public AI models find only the slices already published by FinanceMagnates.com, such as a single month of broker traffic.

FM Intelligence has launched an AI assistant that answers questions about FX and CFD brokers in plain English. FMIQ, introduced this week, returns each answer with the figure, the period and the dataset behind it.

That data, from broker website traffic to trading volumes and license records, sits inside the portal. General chatbots such as ChatGPT can reach only the slices FM Intelligence has published, usually one month or one quarter quoted in a FinanceMagnates.com article.

Asked which brokers drew the most website traffic in 2026, ChatGPT returned OANDA's 14.6 million visits for January, the figure from a FinanceMagnates.com analysis in February.

FMIQ put OANDA at 155 million visits from January to September, read from the full FX/CFD heat map. Both numbers are FM Intelligence data, one month published in an article and nine months held in the portal.

"Many of our subscribers may have felt overwhelmed when using our FM Intelligence Portal," said Sylwester Majewski, head of insights and reporting.

Majewski called that the downside of trying to offer the best data available in the FX and CFD industry.

Until now, FM Intelligence has explained that data through articles and analyses, with nearly 200 published on its DataLab portal. FMIQ is a quicker route, pulling out in seconds the exact figure a user is looking for.

And there is a lot to click through. The portal, launched in March, covers almost 200 brokers in its volumes tool and 98 in its traffic heat map, plus platform, fines and license data.

FMIQ works across seven of those datasets and keeps follow-up questions in the same conversation. FM Intelligence says the assistant is read-only, runs every query live and passes answers through an independent check before marking them "Verified."

"Everything happens instantly, saving users a lot of time and effort," Majewski said.

The Ask FMIQ page suggests where to start, with questions such as which volume leaders look weak on country traffic.

What Public Chatbots Can Find

To show where public models run out of data, Ramzi Ahmad, director of intelligence at FM Intelligence, put the same three questions on traffic, volume and Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ) licenses to ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini and Grok.

Without web search, none of them had broker traffic or volume figures. With it, they assembled answers from published pieces.

On volume they returned EC Markets and TMGM at about $2.11 trillion and $2.03 trillion a month, the second-quarter averages FM Intelligence released in July, and left places three to five empty.

"Web access improves fluency. It does not create a single, verified industry table," Ahmad commented. The full test can be found here.

Brokers apply the same logic to their own data. FM Intelligence counted at least 10 brokers and platform vendors that connected AI agents to live client accounts in the first half of 2026, so a chatbot can read balances and positions it would otherwise never see.
