- After the domain eluded them for years, the metatrader.com URL has finally arrived in MetaQuotes' hands.
Known for its popular MetaTrader 4 platform, the MetaTrader brand is a popular one for MetaQuotes. However, despite the MetaTrader name being synonymous with its trading platforms, one item which has eluded MetaQuotes until recently was the metatrader.com domain.
Acquired in 2003 by a third party, the metatrader.com domain had been eluded by MetaQuotes despite the popularity of its platform. As a result, in 2012, MetaQuotes filed a case with the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) Mediation and Arbitration Center to receive the domain as they had trademarked the Metatrader name.
