CONSOB Issues Warnings against Several Unauthorized Online Trading Firms

The Commissione Nazionale per le Societa e la Borsa (CONSOB), the Italian regulatory authority, has released a list of brand names which appear to be running unauthorized operations in Italy. The regulator released the substantial list in order to warn local traders against working with them.

The list includes the following companies: Yukon Global Ltd, TradeTech Fin Ltd, Top Media Ltd, Markets Broker, Age Capital Ltd, Funds Point, Woori Bridgewater Brokerage, Aequitas Financial Llp, Pounds in Accounts, Hbfx Markets Limited, Mrtmarkets.com, Global Fin Services Limited trading as Trade 12, Marketier Holdings trading/Stox Market, Taurus Private Equity GmbH, Asia & Pacific Holdings Japan Cti China Renaissance, PointFinance Limited, Pimmit Partners, 港群益期 (name available only in Chinese), Pacific Securities Co., Ltd, Grace lnvestment/Grace lnvestment Llc, Doyle & Page Global/Bdp Global, CfdStocks, JJ Matthias Asset Management, HPoption, Verent Capital, Bancroft, MNB Holdings, and Okpay Inc.

In addition to the fact that these Online Trading companies are not registered or licensed in Italy, CONSOB notes that other major regulators have issued warnings against them before. Such regulatory bodies include but are not limited to the British Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) ), the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), and the Hong Kong based Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

About a month ago, the Italian financial watchdog released a similar round of alerts against five firms, including names such as Spot2Trade Limited, BT Systems Limited, and CRLink Limited. These companies were issued warnings due to their operating in Italy without receiving permission from the regulator.
