  • CEO Tamas Szabo highlighted a 40% year-on-year increase in new client trades, with strong demand on core and growth markets.
  • He also discussed plans for a gradual global rollout of the broker's crypto arm, led by the recent appointment of an AI-focused CTO.

Pepperstone’s CEO Tamas Szabo said that the mid-year results for the broker saw double-digit growth across new clients and revenue, among other key measures, as well as a 30% increase in volumes.

London's trading industry is coming home!

“There’s been mixed results and plenty of focus on broker performance in the market recently, we don’t publish results mid year but I wanted to mention how Pepperstone is performing,” the CEO said in a LinkedIn post.

According to Szabo, the Australian-based broker saw a 40% year-on-year increase on new client first trades, “with strong demand across our core markets and growth regions.”

New Regions, New Products

In early 2026, the broker obtained a Category 5 licence from the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and opened a new regional hub in Dubai, already outfitted with experienced FX executives tasked with building out its Middle East operations and accelerating regional growth.

The CEO also pointed to the 2026 launch of Pepperstone’s crypto arm, which was originally established to service the broker’s Australian market only, with Szabo confirming that a progressive global rollout is now underway. The broker had hunted for a CTO to spearhead the crypto expansion and landed on Nigel Fernandes, who brings 20 years of experience from Xero, SEEK and Coles.

“My focus will be building on the quality global brand that traders have trusted for years, investing in the technology we own to scale an AI-native engineering foundation that gives clients faster, more reliable access to the tools they need,” Fernandes had previously commented on his appointment.

It is worth mentioning that expanding into new product lines like crypto has prompted the broker to seek a Head of Cross-Asset Strategy, a role typically found in the institutional space.

This new role aims to maximise opportunities across the overlapping asset classes. As Tom Williams, the broker’s Chief Operating Officer, had noted, "Our view is that the brokers that treat product innovation as a serious cross-asset craft are the ones that will win."
