Pepperstone’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rob Bowen, departed from his role with the broker last Friday after spending over seven years there. He was also the Chief Executive Officer at the broker’s FCA-regulated UK arm.

The broker confirmed to Finance Magnates that despite the exit, Bowen will remain with the group until the end of the year in an advisory capacity.

“During his tenure as Chief Commercial Officer, Rob has played an important role in the company's growth, strengthening commercial capabilities, expanding our global footprint, and supporting the development of high-performing teams across multiple regions,” a Pepperstone spokesperson told Finance Magnates.

Bowen joined Pepperstone in mid-2019 to head its UK unit, but became the group’s Chief Operating Officer as well within months. He took over as the Chief Commercial Officer in mid-2025.

It, however, remains unclear who would replace Bowen as the broker’s Commercial Chief or its UK head.

Bowen's appointment was significant as he joined Pepperstone from IG, spending almost a decade there. He departed the London-listed broker as the Commercial Director. Before that, he spent eight years at GNI.

His next career move after Pepperstone remains unknown.

Pepperstone, meanwhile, continues to strengthen its workforce with leadership hires.

It recently onboarded Nigel Fernandes as the CTO after naming Mohammed Almadhoun as Head of Middle East and Osama Hamdan as Head of Sales, both for its Dubai-based operations.

The broker also named Reed Sayer as its new Head of UK earlier this year, who would be responsible for its growth strategy in the country, manage client relationships and support the expansion of its business in the market.

Earlier this month, Pepperstone appointed Caitlin Walsh as Head of Corporate Affairs. Walsh joins after nine years at Block, where she led corporate and policy communications for the Asia-Pacific region.
