VT Markets reported a record $8 trillion in trading volume during the first six months of 2026, an increase of 212% compared with the same period a year earlier, as market volatility drove activity across foreign exchange, precious metals and equity indices.
The latest figures continue a trend of rising trading activity at the broker. In May 2025, Finance Magnates reported that VT Markets recorded a then-record monthly trading volume of $720 billion during April. Earlier that year, the company also said its annual trading volume had increased 150%, alongside growth in deposits and first-time traders.
Gold, FX Dominate VT Markets Trading
According to the broker, the first half of 2026 was marked by currency swings, changing interest rate expectations and geopolitical uncertainty, factors that influenced how traders positioned themselves across financial markets.

VT Markets said active users increased 70% compared with the second half of 2025. It also reported that 350,000 traders executed their first trade on the platform during the period.
The broker said trading activity was concentrated in gold and silver, as well as the EUR/USD and USD/JPY currency pairs. The NAS100 and DJ30 indices were also among the most actively traded instruments during the six-month period.
Broker Adds Products, Expands UAE Presence
VT Markets attributed part of the growth to product expansion and partner initiatives. During the first half, the broker added 39 US stocks to its trading offering and launched ClubÉlite, a loyalty programme for introducing broker partners.
The company said it plans to introduce additional products and platform features during the second half of 2026, including tools designed to extend trading access beyond traditional market hours.
The latest results follow the broker's expansion. Last year, VT Markets obtained a Category Five licence from the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority, allowing it to provide financial consultation and financial analysis services in the country as it expands its presence in the Middle East.
