The prop firm becomes the first in the industry to adopt Acuity Trading's AI Research Terminal.
The partnership aims to enhance trader decision-making with real-time market insights and sentiment analysis.
Prop firm
FunderPro has become the first proprietary trading company to integrate Acuity
Trading's AI-powered Research Terminal. The new partnership marks a push to
equip funded traders with more advanced market analytics tools.
FunderPro Adopts Acuity
Trading's AI Research Platform in Prop Trading Push
The
partnership gives FunderPro's traders access to real-time market insights,
sentiment analysis, and global news updates through Acuity's artificial
intelligence platform.
FunderPro CEO Gary Mullen
“Traders
should have access to the best tools and insights in the market,” said
FunderPro CEO Gary Mullen. “Acuity Trading's Research Terminal allows our
traders to gain critical insights and stay ahead of market trends, which is
essential in today’s fast-paced trading environment.”
The
Research Terminal combines artificial intelligence with human expertise to help
traders identify opportunities and develop data-backed strategies in volatile
markets.
Although FunderPro is the first prop firm to utilize Acuity's AI toolkit, many FX and CFD brokers have already adopted similar solutions. Just within the past month, OneRoyal and the former ZaraFX, now operating as Zarvista, opted for the AnalysisIQ solution.
Acuity
Trading CEO Andrew Lane said the collaboration represents “a new chapter
in the evolution of proprietary trading,” highlighting how AI-driven
research tools can enhance trading decisions.

"We
are thrilled to partner with FunderPro, a firm that is reshaping the
proprietary trading space,” added Lane. “By providing their traders with access
to Acuity’s advanced research tools, we are enabling them to make smarter and
more strategic trading decisions.”
TradeLocker’s FunderPro Gains Attention
TradeLocker,
a popular retail trading platform, especially among prop firm clients, decided
to capitalize on the growing trend of FX/CFD brokers entering the proprietary
trading space by launching its own trading brand. This initiative led to the
creation of FunderPro.
In
September, the company brought on board Antreas Pilavakis, who previously
worked with The Trading Pit, as Operations Manager. Since then, the prop firm
has integrated the cTrader platform into its services, providing users with
more trading options.
A month
ago, FunderPro announced plans to introduce futures services on its website. In
a notice, the firm reportedly opened a waitlist for early access to the new
offering and established a dedicated URL for this service:
funderprofutures.com.
“Many People Probably Do Not Understand What AI Is”
In a recent
interview with Finance Magnates, Acuity Trading’s CEO Lane criticized
the increasing misuse of the term artificial intelligence (AI), describing it
as “AIwashing.” He compared this trend to “greenwashing,” where companies
inflate their sustainability claims to attract investors, often drawing
regulatory attention. Lane pointed out that many businesses label themselves as
“AI-friendly” without a genuine understanding or effective application of AI
technology.
“There is a
lot to the word AI,” Lane stated, highlighting that most claims are more
aligned with machine learning than true AI innovation. He expressed doubt about
companies promoting AI-focused products without a comprehensive grasp of the
underlying technology.
Lane
established Acuity in 2013 with the goal of providing advanced trading insights
through machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). His experience
includes early-stage NLP development and natural language generation at Dow
Jones, equipping him with significant expertise in the technologies that power
AI-based solutions.
