XTB Chief Growth Officer Szymon Szymański described volleyball as "a valuable addition" to partnerships in MMA, football and basketball. He said the CEV agreement is intended to increase brand visibility and connect XTB with sports audiences.

XTB became a global partner of basketball governing body FIBA in April. That agreement runs through December 2027 and covers the women's 2026 and men's 2027 World Cups, as well as qualifying rounds.

Football has supplied several more additions. XTB signed a two-season partnership with SSC Napoli before adding a three-year FC Porto sleeve deal.

Four days after the Porto announcement, XTB signed a three-season agreement with Olympique Lyonnais.

The volleyball contract gives XTB the top sponsorship designation rather than a secondary partner role. CEV did not say whether financial-services category exclusivity applies or publish audience guarantees for broadcasts and its EuroVolley.TV streaming service.

CEV Points to Digital Fan Projects

Federico Zurleni, CEV's chief business officer, said in a LinkedIn post that the partners were "setting the stage to accelerate our digital transformation." He referred to immersive online experiences but did not identify a product, launch date or investment amount.

CEV President Roko Sikirić said the agreement could help the competition reach a wider audience and create more digital engagement. The governing body provided no current audience baseline or target against which that outcome could be measured.

Player-focused content and digital campaigns are among the specified deliverables. The parties did not say which athletes will participate, which markets the campaigns will cover or whether financial education will form part of the program.

The total covers XTB's marketing operation and is not a measure of sports sponsorship costs alone. XTB has told investors that marketing spending is expected to rise about 50% in 2026, followed by annual increases of 30% to 40% from 2027 through 2029.

Sports properties have become a recurring acquisition channel for online trading companies. A Sportquake comparison reported by FinanceMagnates.com estimated that Swissquote, eToro and Plus500 led disclosed or estimated spending among trading brands over the year to July 2025.

XTB has also tested shorter campaigns. In 2025, it sponsored 10 players at Roland Garros as part of what XTB called an opportunistic approach to tennis marketing.

The CEV sponsorship covers the 2027 and 2028 competition seasons.
