Report shows growth in mobile transactions in Europe

European mobile transactions are set to exceed by 64% in comparison to last year. That is according to Adobe, who recently released their “Online Holiday Shopping Forecast and Trends 2013” report.

The report shows Adobe’s forecasts for the end of the year shopping habits, most specifically during the holiday season. The increase in sales from either a smartphone or a tablet means that 12.4% of all internet purchases made by the end of the year are predicted to be issued by mobile devices.

This comes as no surprise. When we discussed the increase in mobile payments we saw the immense increase in sales that smartphones and tablets generate. Adobe themselves stated in their report: “It (Mobile Store) is no longer a luxury, but vital to invest in one this holiday season”.

The immense growth we are seeing in mobile transactions is staggering, and with the numbers only getting higher, by next year we expect to see the majority of online store and retailers boasting their mobile optimized stores.
