Cloud
The cloud or cloud computing helps provides data and applications that can be accessed from nearly any location in the world so long as a stable Internet connection exists. Categorized into three cloud services, cloud computing is segmented into Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). In terms of trading, the versatility of the cloud service allows retail traders the ability to test out new trading strategies, backtest pre-existing concepts performing run time series analysis (or trend analysis), and execute trades in real-time.Advantages of Cloud Computing in TradingAn advantage that stems from cloud computing would be that entities don’t need to construct a data center infrastructure themselves.Instead, entities can conduct trials and perform refinements, and should no solutions pan out then the cloud may be shut down while the payment terminated at the same time. This methodology of renting virtual space and time in cloud tends to be far more appealing than the costs, time, and resources required with constructing hardware and software infrastructures. These also happen to be the exact concept used in SaaS with trading related software. While executing trades via the cloud is an important capability to keep intact, most retail traders are drawn to the cloud for the research, backtesting, and analytics advantages that stem from using the cloud. In forex, traders that use Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated trading software are uploading their solutions onto a broker’s cloud account. The cloud is an ecosystem for multiple industries, sectors, and niches. Its versatility has not been peaked while in trading many retail traders are transitioning to cloud computing as a means to reduce expenditures, optimize efficiency, and maximize available resources.

Read this Term announced the launch of a new automated backup service for its dedicated servers on Thursday.
The cloud computing and connectivity provider said the new Bare Metal Automated Backup Service will initially be available in its London servers but will be expanded to other locations in the near future.
Using the service will allow firms to create image backups of their Beeks' cloud servers. Though they do have some limitations, these can be used to quickly deploy a new server in the event of the original going offline.
In a statement sent to Finance Magnates, Beeks said that it is launching the new service in order to meet regulatory and Compliance
Compliance
In finance, banking, investing, and insurance compliance refers to following the rules or orders set down by the government regulatory authority, either as providing a service or processing a transaction. Compliance concerning finance would also be a state of being following established guidelines or specifications. This designation can also encompass efforts to ensure that organizations are abiding by both industry regulations and government legislation. Understanding ComplianceCompliance is a system of checks and balances that prevents fraud and inefficiencies.Additionally, this also ensures cooperation with federal financial regulations with the ultimate goal of protecting the public and provide needed information to governmental agencies to stop fraud, money laundering, and terrorist funding. Compliance in the financial industry offers stability to the markets and serves to protect customers, workers, and taxpayers from ethical threats that are inherited in individual decisions. Many organizations are also obligated to track and store compliance data. This includes all data that is relevant or belongs to a company, brokerage, etc. that can be used for the purpose of implementing or validating compliance or regulatory reporting.Given shifting regulations and the importance of compliance, the use of advanced software is increasingly being implemented to help companies manage their compliance data more efficiently. This cache includes calculations, data transfers, and audit trails. While finance is a globally unified concept, compliance is not. Regulatory compliance varies across both industries and jurisdictions. For example, the financial regulatory structures of one country may be lacking or different in another. Of note, the most tightly regulated jurisdictions in terms of compliance in the forex industry include the United States, United Kingdom or most European Union countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and others.

The service will be provided under a ‘pay-as-you-store’ model and is being launched following a successful proof of concept testing with a small customer set, who are now live on the service.
"The aim of this Backup service is to further increase the security options available to our clients in order to best protect their data, which is of the utmost importance to us," said Beeks CEO Gordon McArthur.
"With the ever-increasing threat of hacking and malware attacks, security and backup procedures are imperative, particularly in a sensitive industry such as automated trading. I am extremely pleased to announce this server imaging addition to our offering and look forward to its implementation in London and other locations later in the year.”
