eToro has agreed to acquire Argentine financial app LB Finanzas for an undisclosed amount, marking the trading platform’s fourth acquisition of 2026. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.

The deal is intended to strengthen eToro’s localised presence in Latin America, with eToro saying the acquisition will support its expansion in one of the region’s fast-growing fintech markets.

Accelerating Growth in Latin America

For eToro, the strategic value lies in LB Finanzas’ established local operations. Argentina’s financial environment is shaped by strict currency controls and distinctive inflation dynamics, making locally regulated infrastructure and market expertise particularly valuable.

LB Finanzas is regulated by Argentina’s National Securities Commission and Central Bank and operates an all-in-one investment platform, covering investing, such as equities and crypto, and payment solutions.

“This acquisition marks an important step in our commitment to building a localised presence in Latin America,” said Yoni Assia, eToro’s co-founder and CEO. “By combining LB Finanzas’ local expertise with eToro’s global scale, we can accelerate our growth across the region and provide more people with access to the tools they need to build their wealth.”

A Year of Acquisitions

The deal extends a busy year of inorganic growth for eToro, which has used acquisitions to add product and geographic capabilities.

In April, eToro agreed to acquire self-custodial crypto wallet provider Zengo. In May, it completed the acquisition of Israeli crypto exchange Bit2C. In August, it announced an agreement to acquire US brokerage TradeZero, a deal expected to close in the first half of 2027 and subject to regulatory approvals.

By adding local payments, crypto and wealth products to its multi-asset trading offering, eToro is broadening its platform beyond trading and investing.

The LB Finanzas deal signals a further step toward a more integrated financial-services offering in Latin America.
