XTB UK, the FCA-regulated arm of Publicly listed Polish FX and CFDs brokerage XTB, has appointed Suraj Patel to the post of head of compliance, following a career of over ten years in the financial industry.
Suraj will lead XTB compliance team across Europe, where he will be tasked with ensuring adherence to the relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines by which the firm is bound. Given the increasingly global nature of the business and a regulatory landscape that is constantly evolving, this is a greater challenge now than ever before.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Patel act will as the primary contact for the FCA and other relevant authorities. He will also oversee the firm’s transaction and trade monitoring program, and any resulting investigations of suspicious transactions/orders including the submission of reports to regulatory bodies (FCA, NCA, etc.).
Prior to joining XTB UK, Patel worked in a senior level role at LAND-FX UK, a technology provider in the institutional brokerage industry across FX/CFD marketplaces.
Previous landing spots also include working as Compliance Manager & MLRO at Spread Co Ltd, part of a lengthy career dating back to 2012. He also served as Sales and Marketing Executive at The Stress Management Society, in addition to several positions in all of which he held senior or executive level roles across a lengthy career in the financial services industry.
