After more than three years working for Swissquote, a Swiss banking group specializing in online trading services has promoted Romain Le Baud to Head of Marketing, Finance Magnates has learned.
The change in position was made public via Le Baud’s LinkedIn account. Specifically, his profile states that he made the change this month and his full title is – Head Marketing, Vice Director and Member of Management. He remains based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Le Baud initially joined Swissquote in October 2015 as a Forex Brand Manager and Associate Director, his LinkedIn states. After more than a year in this role, he went on to become Head Brand & Digital Marketing.
As Head of Brand & Digital Marketing, Le Baud was also the deputy Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This position was his most recent before the promotion. However, he remains as the deputy CMO. Part of his duties included building and managing a team of 12 marketers, among other roles, his LinkedIn states.

Baud’s career before Swissquote
Le Baud’s career in marketing spans over a decade, commencing in January 2006 as a Marketing Trainee at INES CRM where he was based in France. He then went on to hold another trainee position at Vipventa, S.L. in Spain.
According to his LinkedIn, Le Baud secured his first full-time position in November of 2007 at Rodier, where he was a retail marketing executive for two and a half years. During his employment, he was based in Paris.
The bulk of Le Baud’s career was spent at Swatch Ltd, a popular Swiss watchmaker. Here he spent almost five and a half years, joining in May of 2010 until leaving in September of 2015. His most recent position was E-Commerce Search, Mobile & Analytics Lead.
