OANDA Promotes Kurt vom Scheidt to Chief Operating Officer

Multi-asset online trading provider OANDA has announced a series of changes to its management team. Namely, Kurt vom Scheidt, the previous Chief Product Officer, has accepted the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As Finance Magnates reported, vom Scheidt has been with OANDA since July of this year. With his new role, he will be in charge of the Trading, Product Management, Financial Risk, Business Operations, and Solutions for Business teams.

In addition to vom Scheidt’s new position, the trading provider has further strengthened its management team by appointing Mark Chesterman as Head of Trading. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the global trading team, quantitative Analytics Analytics Analytics may be defined as the detection, analysis, and relay of consequential patterns in data. Analytics also seeks to explain or accurately reflect the relationship between data and effective decision making. Chesterman has had an extensive career in the trading and brokerage industry. He spent a large portion of his career at IG Markets. In particular, he spent 14 years with the trading firm. During this time, he held a number of positions, such as Head of FX and Futures.

However, Chesterman was most recently the COO with Stater Global Markets. As the Head of Trading, he will report directly to Kurt, the statement from the company released today said.

OANDA will continue to strengthen its team
