Monex Europe, a corporate FX and hedging provider, announced on Wednesday the hiring of Tim Philip as the Global Operations Director, thus strengthening its leadership team. Philip will be based in London and report directly to the company’s CEO, Nick Edgeley.

In the new role, Philip will oversee the firm’s operations, projects, and legal teams across six countries: the United Kingdom, Spain, The Netherlands, Canada, Luxembourg, and Singapore. His focus will be on implementing operational best practices and driving strategic thinking.

Monex Europe Taps Tim Philip to Spearhead Growth

Monex Europe is at a very exciting stage in its growth journey, and I greatly look forward to leveraging my experience in both the structured corporate and fast-growth fintech worlds to realize the growth aspirations of the business,” Philip mentioned in a statement.

The appointment came months after Monex Europe onboarded David Whitcroft as the Group Director of Risk & Treasury, John Gallagher as an Executive Director & Group Chief Technology Officer, and Jacques de Villiers as the Director of Digital Strategy.

Philip brings twenty years of experience to his new role at Monex Europe. He is joining the company from the London-based fintech, Salary Finance, where he was the Global Chief Operating Officer for four and a half years.

He joined the workforce in 1999 and joined the Lloyds Banking Group after spending a few years at other companies. At Lloyds, where he served for five years and seven months, he was first a Retail Banking Commercial Analyst and then promoted to Senior Manager of Strategic Planning for UK Private Banking. In addition, he was selected as a Financial Services Management Consultant at PA Consulting Group between July 2010 and January 2015.
