Following a five-year career at FXCM where Ivan was a team captain for Spain and Latin America, he joined Boston Technologies in its e-FX Prime Brokerage and Sales division for the same regions, and most recently was VP of institutional at Fortress Prime until last December according to a LinkedIn profile description.

Ivan studied at Baruch College in New York, and started his financial services career after a 2 year stretch as a real estate broker, thus equipping him with a sales background for the nearly 15 years of FX industry experience that followed.

Argosy had participated in the FXIC conference in NY, and attended the iFX Expo in Cyprus in 2014, as the company had just been launched in 2013 by its two founders. The duo are ex-Goldman Sachs VP Brian Phillips and former FXCM 10-year veteran FX and futures trader Larry McGonegal who together wanted to bring their expertise to retail brokers directly via Argosy's offering, according to a company description.

In addition to Ivan's background in Spanish-speaking regions, any relationships and clients from his most recent positions and coupled with the new opportunities at Argosy could help better position him in the new role as Head of Sales for the provider's bespoke brokerage solutions.
