Gold-i, a trading systems integration specialist for the ‎financial services ‎industry, has a new Head of Business Development for the Asia Pacific region, with the company promoting Joy Li to the role.

Li has been a part of the Gold-i team for just over a year, having joined the company’s Shanghai office from Israeli vendor Leverate. According to the company, she has been instrumental in growing the company’s Chinese client base. During her time with the company, she has also fostered strong relationships with Chinese financial entities.

Joy Li will report to Gold-i’s CCO

As the Head of Business Development for APAC, Li will report directly to Gold-i’s Chief Commercial Officer, Julian Elliott. In this position, she will focus on business opportunities amongst start-ups and established financial entities across a range of markets, such as Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Australia.

Commenting on the promotion, Julian Elliott said: “We are seeing significant activity from across the region – not only for our MT4 Bridge and MT5 Gateway but also our MAM Pro and Visual Edge business intelligence tool – both of which are available in Chinese."

“Our multi-asset Liquidity management platform, Matrix, is also proving popular, particularly amongst more established financial entities. Joy will help us to capitalise on these opportunities and extend our Matrix NETwork."

“Joy has proved to have exceptional business acumen, a strong rapport with clients and has built up an excellent knowledge about our technology and the market. Her promotion is very well deserved.”

The promotion of Joy Li comes at a time when Gold-i is actively expanding its liquidity network by partnering with a number of brokers, exchanges, and trading firms to provide liquidity via its Matrix platform.

“Since joining Gold-i, I have learned so much about the industry, the technology and how we can help to transform a client’s business,” Li added.

“In my new role as Head of Business Development in APAC, I am looking forward to getting immersed into different markets – all of which have their unique characteristics and requirements. I will be able to utilise my knowledge and experience to create tailored solutions for each client.”
