GlobalBlock Digital Asset Trading Limited (TSX Venture: BLOK) (FSE:BD4) announced that it has recruited Rodney Prescott as its new Chief Technology Officer.

Finance Magnates recently learned from a press release that Rodney Prescott, a highly experienced industry and digital asset IT specialist with more than thirty-five years experience, has been named by GlobalBlock UK, a London-based cryptocurrency brokerage, as its new Chief Technology Officer.

Prescott brings a wealth of experience to GlobalBlock UK, specifically in Blockchain , digital assets and banking. He has held many senior managerial roles at global technology firms, consultancies and banking groups.

Looking Back at Prescott’s Vocation

Prior to the announcement from GlobalBlock UK, Prescott was fulfilling three separate roles: as a strategic consultant at Input Output (aka IOHK); an advisor to Sales and Partnerships (Technical) for Qredo, the decentralised interoperable blockchain infrastructure, enabling management of digital assets with institutional-grade security; and also an advisor at MannBenham Advocates Limited.

Earlier on, he spent a couple of years with Senvio. At first, he began as its Chief Blockchain Officer in September 2018. In the following month, he received the title of Director.

Also, PwC employed Prescott from November 2017 to March 2019 as a Senior Manager. Located in London, he assisted Central Banks and small to medium-sized companies (SMEs) with their blockchain technology projects. One particular project, he worked on with the South African Reserve Bank explored the use of blockchain in Interbank Settlement .

Additionally, Prescott served EY in both its Sydney and Hong Kong offices. During this period, he worked in senior management positions with global financial services and technology companies, leading the push towards digital innovation and blockchain initiatives.

Moreover, Prescott spent his career holding various senior technology positions in banking and the communications industry, including with the Commonwealth Bank as a Senior Project Manager, TRAVCALL as its CTO, Westpac as a Senior Technical Project Manager and also as a Programme Manager of Telecommunications, and MLC as a Project Manager as well as many more.
