Fiserv Has Selected Miriam Park as General Manager of Korea

Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV) announced that it has selected Mi Ryung (Miriam) Park as General Manager of Korea, effective from March 2022.

In a press release shared with Finance Magnates, Miriam Park, an executive veteran with more than three decades of experience in the fintech industry, has been named by Fiserv Inc., a leading US global fintech and payments company, as its General Manager of Korea.

Park brings thirty years of experience from her career in leadership in driving digital transformation, spearheading growth and developing market strategy for the payments industry in Korea. Located in Seoul, she will direct and strengthen the company’s local payments business in the Asia Pacific.

Turning back to Review Park’s Career

Before this appointment, Park served UnionPay for more than eight years. Her last role was Chief Representative of Korea and Mongolia. Earlier on, she took on the responsibility of Chief Representative and Regional Head of North, Central and South America. Over a four year period, she navigated the expansion of the North Asia card issuing business. Additionally, she was instrumental in developing the infrastructure and propelling the growth strategy across the Americas.

Prior to UnionPay, BC Card utilised her skills over three years. Her final role was Managing Director of the Global Business Division in Seoul, South Korea. She had been elevated from her previous position of Director of the Global Business Division in 2010.

Originally, she spent most of her career at Visa, a total of eighteen years in various leadership and development positions. She began her career at Visa in 1990 as Assistant Manager of Operations & Member Services, according to her LinkedIn profile. After one year, she received a promotion to Manager of Marketing . In 1994, she progressed to General Manager of Sales & Business Development. She stayed in that role for a total of nine years before the company advanced her to Director of Marketing, Branding & Premium Product.
