The Financial Commission (FinaCom PLC), an industry-specific dispute resolution service that caters to the financial services industry, has appointed Brian Phillips as its newest member of Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC).

Brian Phillips is the co-founder of Argosy Global Advisors, which provides Risk Management services and Liquidity consultation for retail brokers across the world.

With over a decade of financial services experience combined with in-depth expertise, Mr. Phillips’s mission is to provide the skillset needed to understand the difficulties that clients and brokers face in key areas such as liquidity, execution, and risk-management.

Earlier in his career, Brian held senior positions at Goldman Sachs where he served within the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities departments.

Mr. Phillips the Financial Commission as it continues to expand. The commission recently added several new members to its existing roster.

Phillips’s hands-on experience and knowledge is also backed with academic studies. He studied Finance at Peter J. Tobin College of Business in Saint John's University from 2003 – 2007, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Science of General Finance.

FinaCom is an independent international service that guarantees honest and timely resolution of any disputes with the aim of resolving trader-broker conflicts. All clients of the Financial Commission’s members are protected by the Compensation Fund which acts as an insurance policy.

Commenting on the appointment, Financial Commission Chairman, Peter Tatarnikov, said: “Brian is a senior industry veteran who understands the technology needs of multi-asset brokers and their clients, and in key areas such as liquidity, execution, and risk-management. We are pleased to welcome him as the latest DRC appointee at Financial Commission.”
