Exness, a major name in the retail brokerage industry, has promoted Artem Seledtsov as the company’s new Chief Business Development Officer, according to an update on his Linkedin profile.

Based in Cyprus, he joined the broker in July 2020 as the Head of Global Country Development and was later promoted to the role of Global Expansion Director, a role where he spent more than a year.

Exness told Finance Magnates that he will be now responsible for identifying business growth opportunities, along with the design and implementation of business and marketing growth strategies.

Further, he will oversee Exness’ brand building and with local partners for penetration into new markets. Additionally, he will also oversee the broker’s daily business development operations.

Seledtsov is bringing solid industry experience to his new role in the company, where he spent the past couple of years. Before joining Exness, he co-owned a financial services platform, WTW Invest, and headed the platform as the Chief Executive for almost three years.

Prior to that, he was the CEO at PMTrade (Parimatch Group), another forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker, between June 2019 and July 2020. His other notable experience in the industry includes his tenure at TeleTrade for more than three years as its Global Sales Director.

He started his professional career in Ukraine’s Raiffeisen Bank Aval in early 2005 as a Leading Manager. Then he joined OTP Bank and spent eight and a half years there where he climbed the corporate ladder and parted as the lender’s Executive Sales Director. Additionally, he founded and headed DonMushGrow before making his move into the trading industry, according to his Linkedin profile.

Hitting an Industry Record

Seledtsov’s promotion came when Exness smashed the industry record by registering more than $2 trillion in monthly trading volume, Finance Magnates reported exclusively recently.

Furthermore, the broker is focused on strengthening its leadership and hired Peter Plester, the former Head of FX Prime Brokerage at Saxo Bank, to lead its B2B sales efforts around the world. Late last year too, the broker made several key hires including Kirill Ermakov as the Chief Security Officer and Ahmed Badr as its Sales Team Lead for MEA.
