Equiti Capital UK, the British subsidiary of Equiti Group, announced the appointment of Steve Reeves as Chair of the UK Board on Wednesday. Reeves joined the Equiti Capital Board in July 2022 as a non-executive director.

New Chair of Equiti Capital UK

“On behalf of the Equiti Capital UK board of directors, I am very pleased to welcome Steve to the role of Chair of the Board,” said the CEO of Euiti Capital, Liam Conway.

“Steve will play a pivotal role in steering the effectiveness of the Board as we position the company for further growth and continued success. His long history of leadership, coupled with his vast industry experience, will be immensely valuable to the Board.”

Reeves brought over three decades of experience when he held significant roles in several financial services companies. He has an extensive background in trading and broking, covering forex, equities, commodities, CFDs, derivatives, financial spread betting, and the EMI and payment services sectors, which aligns with the offerings of Equiti.

Previously, he held roles as the Group Finance Director for IFX Group, City Index, and ODL Group, and the Managing Director for AxiCorp UK.

“I am very much looking forward to working with the board of directors to deliver the company’s ambitious growth strategy within a robust governance structure,” said Reeves.

Many Developments at Equiti

The UK arm of Equiti named the new Chair only a week after appointing Liam Conway as the new Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Conway was Equiti’s Deputy Group CFO and took over the apex position, which was filed in an interim capacity in mid-2021.

With offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the UK, Equiti Group is a major financial services firm offering trading services through a wide range of products and platforms.

Meanwhile, the group is strengthening its global presence. It gained a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) license last year and established a new office in Limassol.
