Steve Reeves Joins Equiti Capital UK Limited as Non-Executive Director

Equiti Capital Limited announced today that the company has appointed Steve Reeves, an industry veteran with a wealth of experience in the broker-dealer sector, to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

In his professional career of more than three decades, Reeves played an important role in the growth of several leading financial firms. Previously, he held roles as Group Finance Director for IFX Group, City Index and ODL Group, and the Managing Director for AxiCorp UK.

In an official press release shared with Finance Magnates, Equiti Capital UK Limited noted that Reeves will also chair the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee. Reeves is a Chartered Accountant. Currently, he is serving as the Non-Executive Director of Financial House Ltd.

“We welcome Steve to the Board of Equiti Capital UK Ltd. His extensive experience in the sector and across financial services, expertise in finance, financial reporting, and financial regulatory requirements, and management acumen will be a very valuable contribution to the Board,” Nigel Holmes, the Interim CEO of Equiti Capital UK Ltd, said about Reeves' appointment.

In January 2022, Gaurang Desai, the former Chief Executive Officer at the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX Group), joined Equiti Group as the Managing Director of Strategy. Moreover, the financial services provider selected Benjamin Susanna as the Head of Client Retention during the same month.

Commenting on his appointment, Reeves said: “I am delighted to join the Board of Equiti Capital UK and the team at this important time. The company has evolved significantly over the past few years, and I look forward to supporting the long-term ambitions of the business.”
