DriveWealth, an international financial technology infrastructure company, has recently announced the appointment of Terry Angelos, the former Senior Vice President and Global Head of Fintech and Crypto at Visa, as the company’s new global Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

DriveWealth noted that Angelos will facilitate the company’s global expansion plans. In the past few years, Drivewealth has established its presence in different locations around the world amid the growing demand for its products and services.

Angelos has more than two decades of experience in the corporate sector. He previously spent nearly 16 years at TrialPay. At Visa, Angelos worked for almost 7 years in different senior-level positions.

"Today, there are over one billion people who access banking and financial services via digital wallets, and neo banks and digital consumers are increasingly investing in U.S. equities from inside these apps. DriveWealth's APIs and fractional share ownership model is the leading choice to power this digital investment experience.

“High minimums and whole share purchases have prevented access to U.S. equities and the ability to start investing with small dollar amounts was the most frequently cited motivator to start investing according to a recent DriveWealth survey. I look forward to joining this team to create meaningful change in the financial lives of millions of people worldwide,” said Angelos.

2021

DriveWealth has witnessed rapid growth recently. The fintech services provider termed 2021 a 'transformational year' for the company after growth of more than 100% in international business. According to the firm, over 100 global financial technology companies and challenger banks are using its APIs.

“DriveWealth is on the threshold of its next stage of growth,” said Bob Cortright, the Founder and current CEO of DriveWealth. “As I transition to my new role as Executive Chairman, I look forward to working alongside Terry to revolutionize embedded investing worldwide.”

Recently, South Korea’s Toss Securities added DriveWealth’s investment APIs to its repertoire.
